Zyrtec, commercially known as cetirizine HCI is a drug used to treat various allergies. Even the company tagline is 'Lots of allergies, just one Zyrtec’. The most significant thing about this drug is that it is permitted for very young children. Zyrtec and food allergies is a subject many people want to know about. If allergies are diagnosed, the first course of action is to avoid the offending food. This can be difficult sometimes because certain food items may contain allergens that you are not aware of. For example, peanut butter may be found in chili. On the subject of peanuts, allergies to them are often so severe that even a fragment of peanut dust can set off a reaction. Read labels carefully and get plenty of information about what you're ordering when dining out.
